The competition History
The international Bordeaux string quartet competition was born in 1999 in this beautiful city.
Nevertheless its history is more former because it succeeded to Evian’s contest, created in 1976: that’s why we present you the important events during the 30 last years!
From Savoie to Gironde, its fame always grew up and it became a real string quartet celebration, for the artists as for the audience and it takes place in the wonderful Grand Théâtre.
